"Students Like Me"
Over the past few years, research has been revealing more about the nature of learning challenges faced by children with FASD. Strategies are emerging to help children in both mainstream and special education classrooms.
The "Students Like Me" video series was created by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). It Includes how to recognize a child with FAS, how to modify the classroom environment and adjust teaching methods, and how to communicate clearly and plan transitions and unstructured time in the classroom.
